Jazz double bassist (1935-1969) who was a fixture of rhythm sections during the 1950s and 1960s, anchoring the Miles Davis Quintet and playing with pianist Wynton Kelly. Vintage ink signature, "Best wishes, Paul Chambers,” on an off-white 3.75 x 2 slip affixed to a slightly larger card. Removably corner-mounted to a display sheet with an image of Chambers playing the double bass. In very good to fine condition, with staining along the perimeter from adhesive residue on the reverse.
