Description

TLS, one page, 7 x 10.25, personal letterhead, May 26, 1948. Letter to Ken Browne, in part: "Thank you very much for your thoughtful letter and its generous comment on the qualities you attribute to me. Although I am confronted with a multitude of new duties which leaves me little time for correspondence, it is always reassuring to hear from an ex-G.I. A trip to Maine is absolutely out of the question in view of the crowded condition of my calendar for the summer month—even though I am well acquainted with the reputation of Maine fishing." He adds a handwritten postscript: "P.S. If ever I get to Maine—I hope you'll give me a chance to see you then! D. E." In fine condition, with a diagonal crease to the lower right corner. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope.
