Description

Stunning 1955 Brooklyn Dodgers World Series ring, presented to an Ebbets Field attendant

Astounding 14K white gold 1955 Brooklyn Dodgers World Series Championship ring made by Dieges & Clust, presented to visiting clubhouse attendant George Grafton. The ring, approximately size 11.5 and 35 gm, features a genuine diamond (possibly a replacement) set into a dark Dodger-blue stone, encircled with "Brooklyn World Champions." One shank features a Dodgers logo set against a globe, with "First, 1955" on the top and bottom. The other features a baseball engraved with the recipient's name, "George Grafton." The inner band is stamped, "14 Karat, Dieges & Clust." In fine condition, with light wear to the maker's mark inside the band. Accompanied by three holiday cards sent to Grafton by Dodgers players Ron Fairly, Bob Lillis, and Carl Erskine. This stunning 14K gold ring is the same type that was presented to the players on the 1955 Dodgers squad, which included legends like Jackie Robinson, Sandy Koufax, and Roy Campanella. Their championship victory over their crosstown rivals, the New York Yankees, was the first and only World Series won during the team's time in Brooklyn. A truly superb ring from a historic World Series.
