Wonderful original comic art by Don Herold, accomplished in graphite and ink on an off-white 13.5 x 10.25 sheet of artist’s cardstock, signed in the lower left by Harold. The single panel comic depicts a husband-and-wife kitchen scene, the man mulling over what to write on a telegram, the woman laboring over a stack of dirty dishes. Caption dialogue below reads: "HE—'I'm going to send Aunt Maggie Christmas telegram No. 12. It's a sweet sentiment.' SHE—'See if there's a telegram form you can send me to say you'll be glad to help with these dinner dishes.'" Reverse bears editorial notes in blue artist's pencil, "Wanted 9.30 am Monday, Tribune Syndicate." In fine condition, with light overall soiling and tack holes to corners.
