Nixon consoles the wife of his recently resigned VP

TLS as president signed “RN,” one page, 6.75 x 8.75, White House letterhead, November 14, 1973. Letter to Judy Agnew, the wife of former Vice President Spiro Agnew, in full: "Pat and I were deeply saddened to learn of the death of your mother, and you are very much in our thoughts and prayers at this time. We know the grief you are experiencing in your great loss, but we also know that your unfailing courage and inner strength will bring you solace and comfort in the days ahead. With our deepest sympathy, and our warm good wishes always to you and Ted." In fine to very fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope. A month earlier on October 10, Spiro Agnew plead no contest to tax evasion for the year 1967 and resigned from his position as vice president of the United States.
