Chorus music sheet lyrics for the song 'Mountains' handwritten by Prince in green felt tip and used in the recording studio, one page folded to 13.75 x 9, in full: "(Low) I say it's only mountains and the sea / love will conquer if u just believe / (High) It's only mountains and the sea / There's nothing greater than u & me." Includes a vinyl test pressing of the 12″ maxi single for 'Mountains' by Prince and the Revolution, annotated on the Allied Recording Company label, "0-20465-A-SH1, 5.6.86," and "0-20465-B-SH1." In very good to fine condition, with central horizontal fold and some scattered creasing, toning, and edge tears to sheet and tiny bits of surface loss to record sleeve. From the collection of singer-songwriter Susannah Melvoin, an extended member of the Revolution during the Parade era, who shared a longterm working musical relationship with and was engaged to Prince during the 80s. Accompanied by a letter of provenance from Susannah Melvoin. Written for an upcoming recording session with Revolution members Wendy and Lisa, these lyrics originate from a sketchbook shared by Prince and Melvoin during filming of the 1986 film Under the Cherry Moon.
