Official RIAA flower hologram-style gold sales award presented "to Susannah Melvoin to commemorate the sale of more than 1,000,000 copies of the Paisley Park Records single record 'Kiss.'" Framed with its disc and plate to an overall size of 13 x 17. Award retains its original backing with a Fitzgerald Hartley Marketing label, but it was removed and reapplied upside down; the small "Gold Sales Award" plaque on the disc was repaired as it had become detached. In fine condition, with a couple dings to frame and rippling to the surface of the record. From the collection of singer-songwriter Susannah Melvoin, an extended member of the Revolution during the Parade era, who shared a longterm working musical relationship with and was engaged to Prince during the 80s. Accompanied by a letter of provenance from Susannah Melvoin.
