Three items: an ALS in Cyrillic by Dmitri Shostakovich, one page, November 20, 1964, to the Austrian consul in Moscow, mentioning that he would be pleased to attend the Vienna opening of his opera Catherine Izmailov, that he considers the opening to be most important, and hopes that a visa may also be arranged for his wife; a satin-finish 3.5 x 5.5 photo of Dmitri Kabalevsky, signed and inscribed in the lower border to pianist and women’s rights advocate Claudette Sorel; and a 1954 sheet music booklet, signed and inscribed on the title page to Marc Reschetnik by Rodion Shchedrin.
