Inscribed to AA winner Warner Baxter

Gorgeous glossy 10.25 x 13.5 double-weight head-and-shoulders portrait of Carroll, signed and inscribed in black ink, “To Warner Baxter, with sincerest wishes, from, Madeleine Carroll.” Lower right bears an Otto Dyar blindstamp, with the reverse bearing a Fox Film and Dyar credit stamp. In fine condition, with some slight irregularity to the emulsion along the top left edge. Baxter won the Oscar for Best Actor at the 1928–1929 Academy Awards for his role as The Cisco Kid in the 1929 In Old Arizona. A lovely depiction of the seldom-seen beauty. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
