Root, one of the greatest American statesmen of the early 20th century, served as secretary of war under both McKinley and Roosevelt and was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1912 for his ‘strong interest in international arbitration and for his plan for a world court.’ Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
