Manuscript DS, signed “George R.,” one page both sides, 7.75 x 12, March 19, 1824. In part: “We being graciously pleased to condescend to the Petitioners request to accordingly dispense with the said William Elias Taunton and grant him Our Royal License and Authority to be of Counsel for the Petitioners as often as there may be occasion.” Boldly signed at the top by King George IV. The affixed paper seal remains crisp and fully intact. Nicely double-matted and framed with an image of the king and a viewing window on the reverse to an overall size of 20 x 18.75. In fine condition, with a bit of ink erosion to the first letter of George’s enormous signature. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
