Pierre Lacau

Egyptologist and philologist (1873–1963) who served as Egypt's director of antiquities from 1914 until 1936, and oversaw the 1922 discovery of the tomb of Tutankhamun in the Valley of the Kings by Howard Carter. Untranslated DS in Arabic, signed “P. Lacau,” one page, 6.75 x 8.25, no date. A large block of toning and two filing holes to the left edge, otherwise fine condition. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
