Artist and illustrator (1894–1980) who specialized in historical subjects, best known for his ‘adventure’ paintings, children’s book illustrations, and magazine artwork. Exceptionally well-done original vintage signed ink and watercolor sketch of a gun-wielding pirate on an off-white 6 x 9.5 album page, signed below, “Manning de Lee.” In fine condition.
