Second-oldest survivor of the Titanic (1884–1984). ALS signed “Edwina,” one page on a folding 5.75 x 8 postcard, April 25, 1974. Letter to Robert Forrest, in full: “Your very very nice picture of the Titanic has just arrived!!! It is beautiful and how can I thank you enough. Too bad the distances between us is far. Then I could shake you by the hand if you were near. It was so carefully wrapped the mailman waited while I opened it. I also received the Commutator and I am grieved to read the death of Lance Bonnet. He, when he lived here, came to see me often and I was with him at the convention. I have been at his mother’s house, and strange to say she never told me. I am really shocked.” Addressed on the front in MacKenzie’s own hand. In fine condition. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
