Not hearing from you after that, I guessed that you’d been too horrified to write. We were abroad for 3 months—1 month in the U.S.S.R. Had a marvelous time. But what a time you’ve been having!—all those babies; and the death of your mother! And then a front tooth! We’re up to our necks in ink. It will take a whole year to catch up on the accumulation of 3 months absence.” In overall fine condition, with a bookplate affixed to front pastedown, wear to the dust jacket, and irregular toning to signed page of book.
