In part: “Harden writes to me that he wishes me to ask you what progress you are making in working up the votes for the young gentleman. I was speaking to the advocate…& I wish you would send me a short copy of the case.” Addressed on the reverse of the second integral page in Scott’s hand. In very good condition, with intersecting folds lightly passing through the signature, dampstaining and toned adhesive remnants to the upper portion, and scattered stray ink marks and soiling.
