Attractive menu for a dinner held in honor of Nehru given by Joseph E. Ridder on October 27, 1949, at the Racquet Club in Chicago, two adjoined sheets inside a 4.5 x 6.25 card, signed inside the cover in fountain pen, “Jawaharlal Nehru.” The front of the cover depicts the flag of India and is calligraphically inscribed to “Mr. Joseph Pulitzer.” Retains the original string binding made of threads in the colors of the flag. In fine condition. Pulitzer, the heir to his family’s newspaper dynasty, is listed inside as a guest along with several other publishers and newsmen. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
