Great collection of seventeen items, each signed by Eleanor Roosevelt, including six free franks, ten TLSs, and a TNS. Free franks include five mailing envelopes and one postcard, each signed “Free, Anna Eleanor Roosevelt,” postmarked between 1946 and 1958. The ten TLSs are signed “Eleanor Roosevelt,” each one page, dated between 1933 and 1956, containing general content, such as responses to invitations, good wishes on holidays, and thank-you notes. Eight of the ten are on White House letterhead from her time as first lady. The TNS is initialed “ER” and on a postcard from the Franklin D. Roosevelt Library, and also free franked in the upper right. All but two of the TLSs are accompanied by their original mailing envelopes.
