TLS, one page, 6 x 9, White House letterhead, June 10, 1941. Letter to Hardy Steelholm of the US Office of Education, in full: “I think the idea of having Miss Schaffter as Mrs. Conger’s successor is good. I believe the other matter mentioned in your letter of May 29th will be straightened out this summer.” Attractively double-matted and framed with a photo of Roosevelt sitting with her Scottish terrier to an overall size of 18.75 x 16.25, with a window on the reverse for viewing Steelholm’s original letter. In fine condition, with staples holes to upper left corner. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
