Cover from the May 27, 1968, issue of the German magazine Pop with an image of Hendrix smoking, 7.25 x 10.75, signed at the top in black felt tip by Jimi Hendrix, blue felt tip by Mitch Mitchell, and blue ballpoint by Noel Redding. In very good condition, with trimmed edges and moderate overall creasing. At the height of his fame, 1968 was a huge year for Hendrix—he released his third and final studio album, Electric Ladyland, in October, which proved to be the Experience’s most commercially successful album. Also met with critical acclaim, Hendrix was declared the Artist of the Year by Billboard and Rolling Stone named him Performer of the Year. Although he did not perform in Germany in 1968, he played six shows there in January 1969 and would unfortunately make his final concert appearance there at the Isle of Fehmarn Festival on September 6, 1970. An appealing and highly desirable fully signed piece from the group that changed rock forever. Pre-certified REAL.
