Vintage blue ballpoint signatures, “Jimi Hendrix” and “Cheers, Noel Redding,” on an off-white 3 x 5 slip. Also includes three ballpoint signatures from Soft Machine members Mike Ratledge, Kevin Ayers, and Robert Wyatt. In fine condition, with scattered creasing. After having met Hendrix at London’s De Lane Lea Studios while the guitar virtuoso was recording ‘Hey Joe,’ the psychedelic rock group Soft machine went on to support the Jimi Hendrix Experience throughout North America in 1968. Consignor notes that the signatures were obtained at the Constellation Hotel during the tour’s stopover in Toronto.
