ADS, signed “Wentworth Cheswill, Jus Peace,” one page, 6 x 7.5, April 1, 1809. Cheswill orders a group of men “to appear, before me Wentworth Cheswill, at my House in Newmarket…to testify what you know relating to a plea of the case then & there to be heard & tried.” Intersecting folds, light scattered staining, a stray ink blot affecting a couple words, and a small triangular cut to the upper left, otherwise fine condition.
