McQueen’s screen worn shirt worn in the 1966 film The Sand Pebbles in his role as Machinist's Mate 1st Class Jake Holman. Off-white short-sleeve dress shirt features a button-up front, with a Western Costume Co. label sewn onto the front placket with McQueen’s name typed on the second line, and “2402-2,” typed on the top line, along with “#!” written in an unknown hand. A small yellow Fox cleaning tag is also affixed at the bottom. In fine condition, with a bit of scattered light soiling. The shirt can be seen on McQueen with a pair of Bermuda shorts while on shore leave, including the bar scene. A great piece from the difficult and physically-demanding film. RR Auction COA.
