Pantaloons worn by Laughton as Captain Kidd in the 1952 film Abbott and Costello Meet Captain Kidd. Ivory wool pantaloons feature a zip-up side with a Western Costume Co. label sewn into the waistband, with number “58-2800-3,” typed on the first line, with Laughton’s name typed on the second. Waistband also bears a Western stamp as well as a couple other small stamps and notations. Scattered light wear and soiling, otherwise fine condition. Made during a dip in Laughton’s popularity, he signed on for the modest salary of $25000. Any item from the comedy duo’s films are quite desirable. RR Auction COA.
