Great group of original costume art, including a swatch of material

Six original pencil, ink, and watercolor costume designs, on individual sheets of 15 x 20 illustration board. Included are full-length designs of costumes for Virginia Bruce, June Allyson, and Brenda Marshall; a design of four sketches of a child growing up through the Civil War, bearing a Western Costume Company stamp; a full-length design of Jane Greer from the 1949 film The Big Steal, featuring an attached piece of costume material; and a concept for the 1949 film Down to the Sea in Ships, showing three men in full-length poses, entitled ‘Coming Aboard for Duty.’ In overall very good condition, with various creases, toning, and chipping.
