Davis’s personally-owned custom-made black fur bowler hat with a matching satin ribbon band, size 7 3/8. The interior brown leather headband is stamped "Durby" and with the maker’s mark "The Best Broner.” In fine condition. Hat was originally given to family friend Al Carter by Davis’s wife Altovise after his death in 1990. Carter was an entertainer and part of an opening act for Davis under the name Carter & Channel.
