In full (translated): “I wish to thank you for the grand illustrated book! I am very appreciative.” The letter from his nurse, in part: “Dr. Schweitzer asked me to thank you in his name for the American Annual of Christmas Literature and Art, edited by yourself.” In fine condition, with a rough left edge from notebook removal (not affecting Schweitzer’s note or signature).
