Irish-American US Army officer who received the Medal of Honor for his actions in the Civil War (1838–1902). Partly-printed DS, one page, 10.75 x 7, May 14, 1889. Stock certificate for 100 shares of the Oregon and Transcontinental Company, signed on the reverse by Collis to transfer his shares to another gentleman. A stock transfer slip is also affixed to the reverse. In fine condition, with expected cancellation stamps and holes (one hole affecting the top of a single letter in his signature).
