Admiral (1813–1891) who helped improve the Navy as the superintendent of the US Naval Academy after significant service in the American Civil War. Original 4.25 x 6.5 cabinet photo by Bogardus Souvenir Card of New York, signed at the bottom of the image in black ink, “David D.
