TLS, one page, 8 x 10.25, United States Senate letterhead, February 25, 1953. Letter to Victor Janusis in Hudson, Massachusetts. In full: “You may be interested in the attached new release and statement because of your leadership in the field of electric power. I know the Municipal Electric Association of Massachusetts has had a keen interest in the distribution of power from St. Lawrence. I would appreciate receiving your comments on the attached, and you may, of course, use it in your community’s press and public meetings in any way you feel it will help. You are probably particularly interested in this sentence in my statement: ‘Provision should also be made for assuring the availability of a fair share of the power for the municipally owned utilities in the region, of which there are forty (40) in Massachusetts, in a manner consistent with the traditional American policies for marketing publicly developed hydroelectric power.” Letter is taped by its corners to a 10.5 x 14 off-white sheet. In fine condition, with tape to each corner and a mild shade of uniform toning. Pre-certified John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
