Signer of the Declaration of Independence from South Carolina (1746–1809). Ink signature, “Tho Heyward, Jr,” on an off-white 3.5 x 1.75 slip, affixed to a couple slightly larger cards to an overall size of 4.5 x 2.75. In very good condition, with missing top left corner, a vertical fold through a single letter of signature, some pooling of ink to signature, and light show-through from writing on reverse.
