Letter to lawyer and author Maximilian Brantl in Munich, who sent him his book Meeresstille und glückliche Fahrt. In part (translated): “I have the honor to acknowledge receipt of your kind sending, and I thank you very much, both for poems for your kind attention. I regret not being able to enjoy the book as a translation, but I can at least know your ideas if not their expression ….” In fine condition, with a uniform shade of mild toning, and some scattered light creasing and wrinkling.
