Letter of recommendation to Captain Benham, Chief Engineer of the Washington Aquaduct. In part: “The undersigned begs leave to recommend Lieutenant H. N. Harrison for an appointment under your charge. Mr. Harrison is a gentleman of great merit, of unsurpassed diligence and fidelity in the discharge of any duty entrusted to him.” Intersecting folds, with a few small separations, a uniform shade of light toning, and light mirroring of ink to top, otherwise fine condition.
