In part: “I accept with pleasure the honour conferred upon me by the society which you represent. The objects of your association are such as meet my entire approbation. You cannot better promote, either your own happiness, or that of your country, than by endeavoring to diffuse sound morality & useful information throughout its whole extent. That your efforts for this purpose may be abundantly successful is my earnest hope….” In very good condition, with intersecting mailing folds (vertical fold to first letter of signature, trimming to bottom margin, light wrinkling, toning, and handling wear.
