Declaration of Independence: John Hart

DS, one page, 7.25 x 5, November 21, 1769. Petition written by Hart to the Leavy Court pleading for an increase in a ten pound allotment for Sister Ellenor “reduced to so very weak helpless a condition the sum…is not sufficient to enable…to keep her any longer.” Matted and framed with a small portrait, to an overall size of 11 x 13.5. In very good condition, with partial separation along a vertical fold, other intersecting storage folds, scattered toning and soiling, and a few edge chips. Pre-certified John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
