Original hand-inked four-panel Popeye daily comic strip, dated August 24, 1960, on a 19 x 6.25 piece of artist’s cardstock. The strip depicts Popeye being pelted with debris when he attempts to speak with the farmers of Spinachovia. Signed in the fourth panel, “Bud Sagendorf,” and signed again and inscribed in the lower border, “Bes’ wishes to Robert Oppel from Popeye an’ Bud Sagendorf.” In very good to fine condition, with scattered light toning and soiling and expected central vertical fold.
