Two items: an undated ALS, signed “A. Dumas fils,” one page, 5 x 8.25, no date. An untranslated letter to a gentleman; and an AQS, signed “A. Dumas,” on a light blue lightly-lined 8.5 x 5.5 sheet. Dumas pens a quatrain from Le Livre, loosely translated, “Two things make me down here like the day: Love the freedom! Only treasures that I envy. For the love I need to give my life. But for the freedom I give love.” In fine condition, with several folds and creases to both, as well as some scattered mild toning. RRAuction COA.
