Former British intelligence officer (1908–1964) whose novels featuring suave spy James Bond have attained unprecedented and seemingly indestructible popularity in more than twenty film adaptations over the course of four decades. Early vintage fountain pen signature, “Ian L. Fleming,” on an off-white 8.5 x 3.25 slip clipped from a page of a guest book dated July 1925 (the page is also signed by his brothers Peter and Richard).
