Jackson approves a Creek Indian’s Alabama land sale

Handwritten endorsement, “Approved, Andrew Jackson, May 30th 1834,” on the docket of a State of Alabama land sales agreement between Hillabbee Hasso of the Creek Nation of Indians and Daniel McDougald, selling him a tract of land in Macon County for $400. Expected folds, scattered mild toning, soiling and foxing, and small tape repairs to edge separations along folds, otherwise fine condition. Jackson’s signature measures an impressive six inches long. Pre-certified John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
