Benito Juarez

Indigenous Mexican statesman (1806–1872) who served as president of that country from 1858 until his death. Juárez is best known for his sweeping reforms and for his role in ousting the Emperor Maximilian during Mexico’s civil conflicts of the 1860s. DS, in Spanish, one page, 8.5 x 12.5, November 29, 1847. Intersecting folds, some scattered light toning, and a small chip to bottom edge, otherwise fine condition. RRAuction COA.
