By most accounts the finest student of famed psychologist Sigmund Freud, Carl Jung (1875-1961) was perhaps every bit as influential as his renowned teacher. Pictured in this vintage, 5.25 x 7.25 signed photograph is Jung, presumably in his study, as he lights his pipe. The well-kept and still-glossy image is affixed to a 6.5 x 9.25, off-white sheet of heavy cardstock (with the photo covering a printed prayer by Max Ehrmann). The lower border was reserved for Jung’s rare fountain pen, “C.G. Jung” signature, which displays nicely below the subject’s highly visual image. Dings affect the lower corners of the mount, and some mild toning is evident along the top. Scattered, light surface marks and dings to the image are also present, yet the piece remains in fine condition. RRAuction COA.
