With my best wishes to you and Mrs. Salisbury for the Holiday season.” Salisbury painted Roosevelt’s portrait in 1935. In 1947 Salisbury was commissioned to paint an exact copy of the 1935 work, which became the official Roosevelt portrait that hangs in the White House. In fine condition.
