Schreker, a Jew, was denounced by the Nazis for the production of “Entartete” music, placing him in the company of such “rejects” as Mendelssohn, Mahler, and Schoenberg. Uncommon matte-finish 8 x 10 paperstock photo, affixed to a 7.5 x 10.25 card, signed in fountain pen, “F. Schreker” and inscribed (in German) to Sophie Eichberg and dated October 1915.
