Taber, “master or commander of the ship called Isabella … lying at present in the port of New Bedford bound for Pacific Ocean and laden with Provisions, stores, and Utensils for a whaling voyage….” Boldly signed by Andrew Jackson and countersigned by Edw[ard] Livingston as secretary of state. Double matted and framed with a portrait of Jackson, to an overall size of 35 x 23. Mild overall toning, with toning from seal a bit heavier over first letter of signature, previous folds, a few creases and wrinkles, and a couple of small fold separations, otherwise fine condition.
