ALS in French, signed “Renoir,” one faintly lined page, 4 x 5.25, June 20, 1899. Renoir writes to Monsieur G—. In part (translated): “It’s been absolutely impossible for me to work at this time. I regret this because I could have worked well with your niece….” Accompanied by the original mailing envelope addressed in Renoir’s hand. Complete horizontal separation neatly repaired from the reverse (just touching one letter of text) and a touch of mild handling wear, otherwise fine condition.
