I happen to be one of the crowd that was picked but I do not claim I was one of the best. I am satisfied, however, with the proposition that I played to the best of my ability.” The team mentioned in the letter is affixed to bottom, with Heffelfinger’s name second from the top, with other notables including Nagurski, Grange, Thorpe, and Schultz.
