American artist (1958–1990) whose graffiti-inspired outline drawings of human figures and animals made him one of the most recognizable and ubiquitous figures in the 1980s art scene. Promotional brochure opening to a poster of Haring posing with one of his works, 13.5 x 10.5, signed vertically at the right edge, “K. Haring ’88,” the artist adding his cross-in-circle sign. Accompanied by a letter of provenance from the original owner, who explains that she obtained the signature while Haring was Artist in Residence at the Toledo Museum of Art in March 1988. Matted and framed to an overall size of 22.5 x 18.5. In fine condition, with intersecting folds as issued and (per letter) tape remnants at edges, hidden by mat. R&R COA.
