Free franked hand-addressed envelope panel in the center of a 9.75 x 8 off-white sheet. Fillmore has addressed the letter to “S. G. Haven, Esq., Buffalo, N. York,” and franked the panel in the top right, “M. Fillmore m. c.” Panel also bears a January 25 [1841] postmark. Red “Free” stamp lightly touching abbreviation, vertical fold through a letter of signature and some paper loss to top and bottom edges from opening, otherwise fine condition.
