Unfortunately I leave tomorrow on a short excursion in Normandie but immediately upon my return some eight days from now I will have to go to Paris for a few days. I will let you know early on what day and at what time I’ll arrive. I am placing myself at your disposition. I will be very happy to be of assistance to you.” Monet adds a postscript: “If what you want of me is urgent you could still write to me at Giverny, where they would forward it to me. C.
