Powerful Teamsters labor leader whose middle name, “Riddle,” describes his current whereabouts. He was jailed for jury tampering and fraud (1967–1971) and vanished on July 30, 1975, when he was presumably abducted and murdered. Distinguished color 10.5 x 13.5 portrait of Hoffa, circa mid-1960s, in a dark suit and tie, signed and inscribed in black ink “To My Pal Frank, James Hoffa.” The photograph is mounted to a board of the same size. In very good condition, with scattered trivial staining to the lower border, minor edge wear, small area of paper loss in lower left corner, inscription and signature a shade light, but certainly legible. The portrait is also signed in white pencil by the photographer, Mollet or Moffet. R&R COA.
